Mooring Chains

Mooring chains up to 38mm are available at competitive prices, cast iron mooring sinkers up to 3 tonnes weight can also be supplied to special order. High quality mooring shackles to BS 3032 are readily available. Please note ‘commercial’ type shackles should never be used on moorings.

Sinkers

Norfloat International’s oval cast iron sinkers are used to ensure the safe deployment of mooring and navigation marks.  They were originally designed by the Admiralty for Royal Navy ship moorings.

Shackles

Used for linking chains or buoys, Norfloat International supplies British Standard 3032 shackles which are engineering to high specifications and tested ensuring they are not the ‘weakest’ link.
