Commonly used as an alternative to more expensive and larger navigation buoys, the NN1100 offers versatility without compromise.
Complementing the successful CM1100 channel marker, the NN1100 is similar in appearance above the water, offering excellent visibility, whilst the section of the NN1100 that is below the surface has been designed to operate in more demanding conditions. The mooring connection on the NN1100 is an integral part of heavy gauge central steel tube section, providing excellent buoy to chain security.
The replaceable heavy duty central tube provides an extended keel with a nominal draft of 1.2 metres for further enhanced stability. A mounting plate is welded to the tube top which will accept most makes of lighting, top marks and radar reflectors.
The NN1100 is constructed from rotationally moulded medium density polyethylene, pressure foam filled to a density of 36 kg/m3 and finished in IALA compliant colours. The material is UV resistant and designed to give a colour fast life of up to 10 years. The central tube and mooring point are hot dipped galvanised steel.
