Norfloat International’s NN1900 navigation buoy has been developed for off-shore, in-shore, rivers and estuaries.
The NN1900 is available in either long keel or standard short keel. The long keel system (spar buoy), provides excellent stability making it an ideal platform for most makes of light units, and is best suited to more exposed applications. The keel system has been designed to allow fine adjustment to the buoy’s centre of gravity maximising stability to suit local conditions, whilst keeping costs to a minimum.
The NN1900 is rotationally moulded using UV stabilised virgin polyethylene which offers excellent impact resistance. Its low energy surface reduces marine growth significantly, helping keep maintenance time and cost to a minimum. Each of the four hull sections are filled using our marine grade polyurethane foam to a density of 36kg/m³ making it virtually unsinkable.
Similar to the very successful NN1400, the NN1900 also has the polyethylene tower providing enhanced stability and low maintenance characteristics. The three section tower can be replaced whilst on station, and can accept an internal radar reflector and all makes of self-contained lights.
Optional bespoke aluminium towers can be fitted for specialist application.
For safety and ease of handling purposes the buoy can be handled using two or four lifting eyes.
