Norfloat International have been manufacturing spring buoys for aquaculture, ports, harbours, marinas and local authorities for over 50 years. We understand industries; their applications and environments often require something tailored to their needs. For open Ocean Farming – Norfloat International produces the “Open Ocean” range of perimeter and spring buoys.
With increased wall thickness, improved UV stability and two stage hot dip galvanising, Norfloat International’s Open Ocean range of aquaculture buoys provide performance, longevity and excellent reliability.
Norfloat Internationals Open Ocean spring buoys have been specifically designed for the offshore aquaculture industry. Key elements such as the class leading 10-15mm wall thickness, UV stabilizer and heavy gauge steel – have been introduced to the Open Ocean spring buoy optimising longevity and grid security.
Norfloat Internationals range of perimeter and navigation buoys have a rotationally moulded tower, so that in the event of damage – it can be easily replaced on station. The tower can house an internally mounted radar reflector and accepts most makes of navigation lights.
Our buoys are constructed from rotationally moulded medium density polyethylene. The material is UV resistant and designed to give a colour fast life of up to 10 years.
Norfloat International’s Open Ocean perimeter buoys have been specifically designed for the offshore aquaculture industry. Key design elements such as the class leading 10-15mm hull wall thickness, UV13 stabiliser, and long tube keel have been introduced to the range optimising longevity, stability and grid security. All buoys are foam filled using marine grade polyurethane foam to a density of 36kg per cubic metre. All steel is finished with two stage hot dipped galvanising to EN ISO 1461.
