Heavy Duty Rod Buoys
Norfloat International’s RB range of heavy duty inflatable rod mooring buoys have been used by harbours, local authorities, sailing associations and mooring contractors for nearly 50 years.
Features
UV stabilised PVC
Manufactured from a UV stabilised marine grade PVC, Norfloat International’s inflatable buoys will not degrade.
Foam filled
For specialised applications, Norfloat International’s RB range of mooring buoys can be pressure filled using marine grade polyurethane foam, to a density of 36kg per cubic metre.
Heavy duty steel rod and swivel
Manufactured from 18mm galvanised steel rod, together with the forged Norfloat International swivel eye, our RB range provides reliability, quality and value for money. Special steels designed for corrosive water applications are also available (see RB75BM shown in yellow with top swivel and fixed lower eye). A new non swivel version is also available upon request.
Lettering
Irremovable lettering and numbering can be moulded into the buoys at time of manufacture. This is ideal for identification.
Valve
The Norfloat International valve is reliable and effective, allowing easy inflation and deflation. The valve is sealed using a coarse threaded plastic screw which is impossible to cross thread. The plastic design ensures seawater will not cause corrosion or seizure.
